Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) - Behavioural Researcher

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is seeking to fill a position for a Behavioral Researcher in its Office of Research.  The Behavioral Researcher is expected to be interested in consumer decision-making and trained in Marketing, Psychology, Economics or related fields. The Office of Research is an interdisciplinary group of economists and other behavioral researchers who study a wide range of topics, including consumer decision-making, household financial behavior, and markets for consumer financial services. The behavioral researcher would work collaboratively with professionals from other offices within the CFPB to provide research support in the areas of policy development, regulations, and consumer education and engagement. Behavioral researchers also engage in self-directed research in support of the Bureau’s mission.

We are seeking motivated candidates who will thrive in a dynamic work environment. Applicants should have a PhD degree from an accredited institution or expect to receive their degree within the year. Candidates should possess a strong research focus as well as an interest in working with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, industry practitioners, and attorneys.
