The Marketing Science Measurement team is seeking an experienced market research professional to help advertisers understand the business impact of their investments on Instagram, including ROI measurement, and the development of best practices for advertisers. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a budding advertising business.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a foundation in research and statistics, the desire to get out on the front lines of brand advertising, and a passion for generating data-based insights. This role will challenge the candidate to provide strategic direction to major brand advertisers on their advertising approach, work deeply with the external research industry, and develop strategic insights for marketing on the Instagram platform. Applicants should have a passion for Instagram and be self-motivated. This is a full time position based in our New York, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the largest national advertisers to help them understand how to best measure the value they create from investing in ads on Instagram
- Conduct in-depth advertising effectiveness studies for advertisers, leveraging internal data analysis and survey tools
- Provide feedback and insights on general client measurement strategies and solutions
- Partner very closely with the sales team to convey the value of advertising on Instagram to agencies and advertisers
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience, media research experience and general love of data and numbers
- Advanced degree in psychology, statistics, economics, behavioral or social science or a related quantitative field preferred
- Excellent statistical and data analysis skills (e.g. significance testing, regression modeling, etc.)
- Direct experience working with large data-sets
- Solid track record of inspiring action based on data-driven insights
- Experience using SPSS, SAS, R, Matlab, or similar statistical packages
- Familiarity with survey research methods and considerations
- Passion for Instagram
- General knowledge of advertising and/or measurement methods and technologies is a plus
- Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
- Excellent communication skills
